  1. Love it Brother! I CAN'T wait to watch this come together.. I think I've told you before, my girlfriend and I LOVE your life style. We've been planning on buying some property either up your way or Idaho so watching your video's has and is teaching me ALOT! God Bless us ALL and Keep US safe.. Peace

  2. My family and I love your channel! We've been watching for a couple years now, and this series on your adventure van (and the old van), we can't stop watching. We started our own journey to find happiness and success about a year ago, and after seeing these videos we are considering getting an adventure van to assist us on this path! Thank you for your videos, and for staying true to your faith and convictions!

  3. Im a designer/drafter and i tinker with small spaces for fun. Been wanting to buy a bus not exactly a short bus, but like an OATs bus (if you have those where you live) If your son's bench seat will drop and lock I would also add another set of mounts in the floor parallel to the sidewall so the seat can be locked in perpendicular while driving/eating but up against the wall to open up the area for other purposes. A swing up table attached to the back of that seat would provide more work space for when Mrs. W is cooking or whatever. Is there any empty areas in your undercarriage so that you could put in a small floor panel for a small storage (stash for important things especially documents, money) area? And a minimal awning that mounts to your top rack. I've doodled up a top rack that slides back and forth to extend out over the cab of my GMC Envoy a bit roughly 2 feet giving me almost 8' of extra surface area. When living minimal that is quite a bit of space. You could even make it extend out to your front bumper with some swing down supports that connect to your bumper. Your front end doesn't extrude out that far so you should have a pretty stable cantilever on a rack like I mentioned. My envoy would probably look pretty stupid if I ran mine out that far, but i think yours would pull it off nicely. At least you would have the space if you absolutely needed it. Better to have and not need, than to need and not have. The possibilities for your van are endless. That's a great project. My ADHD mind is in overtime right now. Thanks I needed some inspiration for some designing. My gears tend to slow down during the winter! TY for sharing.

  4. Wish I had seen this sooner. My parents bought a '67 Dodge van that we converted into a camper van, and it accommodated five of us on numerous trips. I'll have to draw a diagram of the interior layout, and share it with you in case something clicks.
One uber must have: electric fans on the cooling system, for those really hot days when you're stuck in traffic. Our '67 suffered on those hot days coming back across from Mexico, and blown radiator hoses are bad news.
Inverter note: minimum 2500 watt pure sine wave inverter; required by certain appliances.
Four wheel drive: nice to have, but also a temptation to go where you shouldn't oughta. A set of aggressive chains and a winch will resolve most of the 'got stuck' moments, but make sure you also have an alternator and battery system adequate to the needs of the winch.

  5. Have you removed the spare tire completely yet? I drive a 250 Transit 2018 and had a flat today. Did not have the tool to lower the spare and the tire shop was unable to get the spare off Just thought I would ask before you get stuck on the side of the road. Love the series
