Was wondering if you could help..
I replaced the front right door actuator but now my key entry ( locking / unlocking ) the door with the key does not work. I don't think I put the door lock lever back in correctly. You know there is metal rod hanging from the key cylinder which connects to the actuator. It pulls off when you remove the actuator, I guess, mine pulled off, but I am not sure how to put it back… I could have broken something too…

I see.. thank you for your response. I am ok with my hands, but not an experience mechanic by any means. Do you think I could do it myself, or should I bite the bullet and have a mechanic do it. I also don't have too much free time. Is it a big job ? I have actually replaced the gasket around the handle, but this is going an extra step or two…? thanks again, and Happy New Year !
So my 95 e34 unlocks on the passenger but it won't on the driver side. It locks on the driver side but not the passenger. Also, it gets stuck a lot trying to lock it on the driver side. Is it the actuator or something else?
bro my 94 525i has a stuck driver door latch I suspect, neither handles will open the door and the central locking works fine so I don't think it's the actuator.. Is there any way you know of that can allow me to release the latch manually with the door closed?, the panel is partially removed already. any help is greatly appreciated
