@rmcld You are exactly right. They did improve the power output with the new engine which also led to a much improved 0-60 and I must also say that the interior is beautiful. On the negative side, the car weighs about 200 lbs more than its predecessor, sounds like shit compared to the E60 and E39, and it looks like a 3 series and 7 series had sex and out came the F10 and the brakes look cheap also. I can't say that it looks BAD, but I would say that it's just more bleh…This is the new M5, FAIL

@pwhs8 high revving v10 with NO torque=dissapointment. if you look at the profile of a power curve of a bmw v10 it is quite similar to a VTEC motor. plenty of power up top close to redline, but NOTHING below 5000rpm. why do you like the v10? just because of the sound??? i think it chewed WAY too much gas for what little output it gave compared to what the turbo v8s are capable of. plus 75mph on the highway in the v10 is probably clost to 3000rpm….
@BMWkamikaze540 There is no doubt that the F10 engine is better performing than that of the E60. I suppose it just lacks a bit of character which manifested itself as sound in the V10. Take a look at all of the M5s leading up to this one. They all sound incredible !
@storm9311 True and in today's market, they had to especially with the environmental concerns and regulations of everyone. It's just a completely different car and not for me.
@pwhs8 They didn't put an engine with 10 cylinder's due to fuel consumption and the fact that you don't lose that much horse power is good. And the F10 is better in every single way mechanically and technologically.

@finerdetailer if the engine is hot the exhaust have no water ! and the white smoke of the exhaust! defently cold!
omg im sorry to say this but it kinda sounds like a ricer honda civic ( at high rpm's ) I hope aftermarket exhausts can fix this!
