Manual shifting an EV? What kind of trans is in there?

aber si yo no digo que no sea el futuro que no corra etc…digo que me quedo con un motor gasolina. poner un equipo de sonido para imitar el sonidome parece un poco absurdo….es como si me dices tengo un mazda con la carroceria de un porsche. aunque la mona de seda se vista mona se queda. 😉

That's the transmission noise, combined with all the car's sound insulation was removed.
I can't tell if it's gear noise or brushes, but straight cut gears make a very similar sound.

Great video! Love the first timer's EV grin! But it's an internal combustion engine and electric motors. Engines are not electric and motors are not engines (in North America anyway).
The noise gceo and I were talking about is gear noise, I've never seen an RC car without gears. Have you ever run an electric motor just by itself? They're pretty quiet.
Built? No. I'd imagine a hand built motor might be pretty loud. Gears make noise, whether it's one set or a dozen.

You didn't say you wound it yourself, you said MADE it yourself.
RC cars have gear reductions, ALL of them. There might some custom built exceptions (and belt drives), I suppose.
Straight cut gears (like the ones you'll find in racing transmissions) are noisy as hell. The video I gave you the address to illustrates that.
How a DC motor is powered? It's powered with electricity, moron.
If you're not going to watch the video I have nothing to say to you.
But that's a homemade motor that isn't likely to be very precise. Here's an EV motor, the brush noise isn't all that loud:

The gear noise in the BMW video that I posted drowns out the sound of a race engine, that's pretty significant.
There are brushless DC motors as well.
Searched for on Google? Brushless DC motors are extremely common in RC vehicles, I thought it was just common knowledge.
Most electric motors used in EVs are extremely quiet. Read my other comment.

I know what you meant. Because DC motors can be both brushed and brushless I was giving you a reply that would make you understand how stupid that question was.
