When we filmed this video Frost RV was asking $53,000. Not cheap by any means, but for one person this was totally livable. Two people could do this no problem as well, but the holding tanks may be stressed. Sadly, the interior tour of the RV was lost when my Seagate hard drive crashed right before leaving Arizona (NEVER BUY SEAGATE HARDRIVES!) Also, still working on tinyhome.tours 🙂

アラスカは終わったのかなあ^_^;?
英語が分からないので すいませんm(__)m
There are two types of hard drives:
1. Those that have failed, and
2. Those that are going to fail.
Any information worth keeping should be on two backups, minimum.
YOU SUCK!!! Let pretty lil G & her pretty lil feet do everything.
Would have been nice to see the inside and outside.
Are you going to show us what it looks like inside and outside? We are interested in getting one of the these sometime in our future. Also, what was their asking price?
me too. the peptalk of the seller can be heared afterwards
Thanks for the info.
Why would you not show the interior??? If you are planning on showing the interior in another video, why not just do it all at the same time?? Sorry, but this makes no sense whatsoever.
I've owned a few Seagate hard drives over the years. None of them failed on me. I think I still have a 40mb Seagate in storage somewhere. lol Any hard drive is susceptible to failure. I've had good luck with Western Digital, Toshiba, Hitachi and Seagate (and others I can't remember. The key is knowing the warranty time (typically 3-5 years, they'll replace it free) and also backing up everything on a regular basis to multiple locations, in case a failure occurs. Every hard drive will fail eventually, some just have a short life span.
The Sprinters get good mileage, they just eat you with repair costs and lack of service centers around the country.
MY SON BOUGHT 5 MERCEDES TRUCKS FOR HIS BUSINESS. ALL! I MEAN ALL HAD TO HAVE TRANSMISSIONS REPLACED WITHIN 80,000 MILES. WILL BE REPLACED BY AMERICAN FORDS CHEVY OR A JAPANESE TRUCK.
Hey Chris, I love following you all, and I know that you are trying to get a video out everyday.. but man — quality or quanity?.. 10 minutes of driving around the streets?
bored in meetings today and then remembered you posted this morning! tried out 'closed captions' and it sure was funny reading the text the system produced. let's just say I'll have to watch it again when sound can be had. 🙂
53K for a 2009???? Not even close to affordable. Change the title of the video.
Never buy anything Mercedes!! Unless you're a Multi Millionaire….
Nice video Chris, only thing I would be careful of is the cost to replacement parts for Mercedes. Very expensive..Good Luck
Chris, we have a 2013 Solera and just love it. Drove it up to Alaska last summer and it got 14 mpg towing a Jeep behind it. As far as servicing goes we went to the Freightliner dealer in Anchorage to get the oil changed while we were there. My husband just serviced it, in a couple of weeks we are headed for Yellowstone and Grand Canyon from the east coast.
you're paying for the mercedes chassis and it's still relatively new. Plus all of the upgrades the previous owner did, I'm surprised the price wasn't higher.
Ah Yes, I remember this RV with the German engine, better to buy American with a Chevy, Ford or Chrysler engine. According to long time master mechanic Scotty Kilmer on his channel, Benz engines are over engineered with too many computers which can and do go bad. Benz is a status symbol only and having them worked on is a nightmare. If you want real headaches, buy a used one, YIPES!
Wish we had a walk thru 🙂
didn't let you drive?
can I buy this one?
Just remember, you can price these things where ever you want. Always, always make an offer that you feel is worth it if it is something you want. I agree, for two people it can be done but I think it would be a little tight. Maybe for short trips would be ok with 2 people but not for full time living. The one I am looking at is a 27N. I think Winnebago/Itasca is the maker. What do you think of that unit for 2 people, not full time but maybe a week or two at a time. Seems to have a lot of storage.
What can this rv tow?
Thanks for sharing your ride-along. I love my Class C Sprinter (Fleetwood Icon), 2010 like-new w/15K miles and the same price range as yours but w/o solar. BTW, industry pros stick with Western Digital drives. At home I use a toaster bay for video editing with 2TB WD Cavier Black drives. On the road where things get bumped around the gold standard is Lacie drives like this one. Happy trails and keep 'em coming 🙂

No "nailed it" ??
:'(
No interior tour or outside walk-around?
This ride did not really show us anything about this RV.
