Could you tell me, if an Arai XD4(XL) will fit into a GIVI V46 please?
Well done video , just is missing the 360* looking.
Oh man.. its a beautiful helmet but no vent, no comunication and no pinlock?!! Gosh !!
good review
Great review. Informative and objective. I think the agv would be my pick I would like to compare more brands before I buy though.. There are some very light helmets around and all these seem a little heafty.. As I wear ear plugs I don't mind light, noisy helmets.
AGV it is then, good review.
An awesome honest review. Not trying to push any one brand. Thank you
I own a sport bike and a dual sport. I'm trying to stream line my equipment a bit and buy things that apply to both bikes. Helmets are an issue though and my dual sport helmet catches far too much wind when I ride sport.
Any suggestions other than to keep two helmets?
@SwollenCranium Find a DS helmet that looks badass with the visor removed and simply pull it off when riding sport. Bolt it back on for DS rides. You will still get some additional pull when checking left/right due to the longer chinbar, but the peaks seem to cause the biggest issues and those can easily be eliminated. — jc
spot on with the AGV, great helmet
JC .. Excellent review, great for me as new to trial biking, and covered aspects I didn’t think to consider. Much appreciated ..Rick
Great vid, just about the right depth of information to give new bikers a 'heads up'. I've just bought an Arai Tour X4, which does exactly what you have just described (comfort, venting, vision, etc.). I also tried on the AGV, as I thought this was also an awesome looking helmet. However, the AGV felt a bit too light and 'flimsy', and also build quality didn't seem too great. Again, you were totally right about the AGV's lower 'angular' visor profile, which does actually distort the light/vision and this is distracting — well worth considering this potentially problematic safety issue. I also tried on a Shoei, which felt almost as good as the Arai, however, again, you were right about the visor not feeling 'fully home' when in its lowest position (is this a quality issue, perhaps?). I can't vouch for the Icon, as my local bike shop didn't stock this make. I suppose I would probably (personally) list them in order as Arai 1st, Shoei 2nd and AGV 3rd. I hope this helps — but please go to your local dealer and TRY them on, don't just buy one off ebay because it 'looks cool'! You might just live to regret it…
gr8 video dude. next time don't forget to to ask yourself. which helmet I would choose to use for the rest of my life???? and why. all the best.
Guys plz read this.
The shoei is the best helmet here. Trust me. The AGV is not very aerodynamic. If u do a lifesaver with the agv it hurts ur neck. And also if u tuck the chin is so damn long it hits the tank ahhahah!
The shoei 's peak also doesnt move at all at high speed. The agv shudders like a motherfucker.
great review. to the point.
awesome.
I'm saving for the Arai xd4.
are these good for Riding a bike in long distances? BMW F700 GS lets say.
what. agv good looking? beautiful is subjective
excellent run down, wish you talked also about wind noise for each.
Now that's a review !
Well, YouTube. i think i need 0,75 speed. Can't understand English (not native) so fast=/
What about the schuberth E1 helmet? I've a C3 pro and have heard there're good.
I understand that this video is rather old, but is like to hear about most levels with these helmets as well. For longer trips noise can be a major factor is helmet choice.
spot on dude! You just helped me to make my mind! Thanks! AGV8 it is. Thumbs up, keep up the good work
