Last year the Volkswagen Passat received an almost total-body refresh, with a new hood, grille, front fenders, bumpers, and trunk lid. The makeover continued inside, where the Passat received a new instrument panel, infotainment system, column stalk and steering wheel. Options include LED headlights and taillights, heated rear seats and a foot-operated trunk opener. USB and Bluetooth connectivity are standard on all Passat models. The infotainment system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. Engine choices remain the same. The base 1.8L turbocharged and direct-injection four-cylinder mill makes 170 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. Available on the Comfortline and Highline trims is a 280-hp 3.6L V6 engine with six-speed DSG transmission.
