«PCX HYBRIID»
In the new PCX, three variations of net engine, hybrid, EV were advanced at the same time. In order to realize these three types, the frame is impossible on a conventional basis. Therefore, it was decided to be reworked with a completely newly designed double cradle type. This «HYBRID» which combines an engine and a motor adopts a so-called mild hybrid system that adopts a high-output lithium ion battery and helps start and accelerate by installing a motor in the ACG portion of the engine. It is characterized by a fuel economy improvement and a powerful feeling over the net engine, and as a commuter purpose, it is a strength that greatly improves usability on land with many slopes in particular. The new PCX as a whole also improves ride comfort. Although the wheelbase has not changed, the rear suspension mount position is shifted backward by 50 mm and the stroke volume is also increased to increase the absorbency.
