Your too polite. The blue screen is just wrong..
Hi Lamb Chop, I have the KTM 1290 SD Gen 2 and have invested in Andreani fork cartridge kit plus fork springs suited to my weight. I wasn't quite convinced by the Ktech fork service option so invested a bit more in a cartridge kit and it has transformed the ride quality and front end feel. I am now ordering a 180 x 185 rear spring to suit the front end work that I have had done. The Gen 2 isn't perfect (but is any bike) but it can be made a whole heap better. The Andreani kit fits your bike also, maybe try an upgrade first to get rid of the front end choppiness (pardon the pun) before blowing a bigger wad on a bike swap?.

so it's got an dongle mate. an illegal message comes up on the dash. forget that, they all do it. The back brake aint got ABS and the front brake aint all that. But try and pop some mingers. I'll leave all the electronics on. I mean off. Dunno! Ahhh, balls to it. Just go and have some fun!!!!!!
That s1000rr sounded very mean when pushed :). I also think maybe a tuono 1100 may be a good balance point for you. 1/2 way between sport bike and upright naked. That or an s1000r. I bought an '18 this spring and love it more and more every day. It definitely is a grower
I thought you were done with sports bikes chops. Maybe buy the gsxr long termer. Bung a set of old man high bars on it. Happy days.
Nice vid mate. But gsxr 1000 got more revs on the top end. Not more power.
Still love the GSXR. I’ve ridden a couple of the new litre bikes and its definitely got the edge.. The sound of that Beemer is very sweet when you get in the power Band..
Why did you change your into, I liked the other one which is like a cartoon ! That BMW looked ok, but the blue windscreen was a bit gaudy and the exhaust was a little loud, but it looked like you were having fun until the rain started getting heavy and then you went for a cold one, all is not lost !

Ask your mate if he wants to buy a full exhaust system ?? It a Austin racing inconel headers 90mm big bore titanium link pipe and gp1 end can in titanium and carbon fibre ,took it off my 2011 bmws1000rr it's amazing bit of kit and sounds stunning !! £1000 cost over £2300 a few years ago 🙂 taa

Chops you can’t compare a new GSXR to an 8 year old s1000! The gen 2 onwards are lore comparable. Even so good video.
did the s1000r have the annoying fuel cut at decel? Mostly at low speeds?

the powerparts triples have a steeper fork angle which gives you more responsive steering, maybe try going back to the stock ones? also, IRC makes a qs for the 1290 that has up/down with auto blip, dont upgrade, the gen 1s are so much better!

Your mods on the 2.0 would be lovely. I’m getting a little bored after a year and 9k miles but I’ve covered more miles on the SDR than any of my previous 5 bikes…..
I still think the Tuono is too temperamental — my 1100 V4 had its issues and checking the forum there are still plenty of unhappy customers.
I think we will see a new SuperDuke, Tuono and S1000R within the next 12 months. I’m holding out for the updates before making my next move!
