The 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS was a high-performance SUV produced by the German automaker Porsche. It was positioned between the Cayenne S and the Cayenne Turbo in the Cayenne lineup, offering a sportier driving experience and more power than the base Cayenne models.
Here are some key details and specifications of the 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS:
Engine: The Cayenne GTS was powered by a 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that produced 405 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This engine was mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed automatic.
Performance: With its V8 engine, the Cayenne GTS could accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 5.7 seconds. It had a top speed of around 157 mph (252 km/h).
Handling: The Cayenne GTS featured a sport-tuned suspension, which included Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and a lower ride height compared to the standard Cayenne. This setup improved handling and provided a more dynamic driving experience.
Design: The GTS model had unique styling cues, including more aggressive bodywork, larger wheels, and distinctive trim elements. It also featured a sportier interior with Alcantara leather trim.
All-Wheel Drive: Like other Cayenne models, the GTS came standard with Porsche’s all-wheel-drive system, ensuring good traction and stability in various driving conditions.
Interior: Inside the cabin, the Cayenne GTS offered a high-quality and sporty interior with supportive sport seats, a driver-focused cockpit, and premium materials.
Features: It was well-equipped with a range of standard features, including a touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, and various driver-assist and safety features.

Its amazing how Porsche has managed to maintain its appeal over the years. Id love to get behind the wheel of one of these!
What a timeless classic! The 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS still looks and performs like a beast even after all these years. Id love to take one for a test drive!

Thanks for the great test drive video – its making me want one even more!
GTS has always been a dream car of mine, and this 2008 model looks amazing! The engine note is pure bliss. I can only imagine how thrilling it is to drive one.
Secondary cat delete on my mine…..shud have left the factory like that in my opinion
Just got me a 08 GTS and mine has an X pipe installed. Absolutely love the car.
❤
Nice review, I always liked the GTS for it's sport look, but the front grille always looked bad for me.
Since 2011 I have had my 2007 Cayenne S with the same engine as the GTS and I absolutely love it. Shame they don't make cars like those today.
Have had my eye on these and the generation after for quite some time now. Ideally, I'd equip it for overlanding or light over-road use.
got me a GTS red '08 last april, love the car. Many 'hidden' features. If you still own it check it out. Best thing about these cars is the atmospheric v8 that makes and actual v8 sound and ofcourse the driving experience overal cause it is a porsche. You can set it in sport mode to mechanically open or close the exhaust valves for a nicer sound.
Some 'hidden' features for example are that there is a seperate rear trunk window that opens up by pulling the rear windscreenwiper from the center like a small lever, the up and down arrowed buttons on the seats actually adjust the safety belt hight on the doorframe, buttons on the back of steering wheel turn the steering wheel button lights off an on, there is a compartment beneath passenger seat that usually should contain a small fire extingquisher and right next to it is an outlet from the air compressor to plug the cable in you find beneath the rear passenger seat to inflate a tire if needed using said compressor, there is airconditioning in the glove compartment box that you can switch on and off, there are distance sensors (green to orange and red light) for both front and back where the back are located right on the roofside in centre, there is button behind the steering wheel for easy acces on/off which will adjust the steering wheel and seat for getting in and out of the car. I could go on and on. So many crazy features.
Great hairstyle and great info on the car.
Needs some headers and bigger cams to open up the full potential of the engine.
In stock form its kinda dormant otherwise it's probably the most advanced and underrated car you can have today.
Newer GTS 958 just only 15 ps more but the bigger diffeence is the weight reduction.
Love the colour of interior and that engine sounds very smooth. The interiors of cayenne in UK is black.
Have the Turbo S with all that body kit and double rear spoiler, all in black with black sports plus wheels, looks totally mafia until I get out! The car’s doing its best, it’s the driver letting it down!
How reliable is the 957 Cayenne GTS?
Thank you soo much for sharing , looking at 2010 base model 95k
I have a 2008 Gts blk/blk 6 speed manual — LOVE IT! The hose in the back connects to the pump under the passenger seat
It’s the air compressor for the tires. You plug it in underneath the front passenger seat.
You attach the inflator hose below the passenger seat. There is a small door on the bottom left of the seat, and there are one or two power plugs under the glove compartment to the left. As for the stereo, you can get the Xtrons IQ92CYPP. It's a great unit designed for the Porsche Cayenne. It works with the Bose system, and all of the buttons on the steering wheel also work. I hope this information helps.
Still a cool car. Its a dream car of mine. Even in 2024 the cayenne is still cool especially a 2000s model like the 08.
I got mine 2010 this summer and is perfect. ❤
Nothing beats a V8. These new cars are super boring now a days
