This was the first time we got our 1995 Mk3 VW Golf 2.0L 8V to run after 4 years of sitting stationary. At the moment we have: stripped out the rear interior/some of the dash, replaced the seized fuel pump, put new battery in it, put stock airbox in it (are going to do the boxmod), replaced serpentine and v-belts, replaced spark plugs, replaced oil, cleared the fuel lines of dirty/gelatinized fuel, and replaced broken A/C bypass pulley. In the future we are going to upgrade the suspension (our top mounts are shot in the back), do the boxmod, get new tires and maybe rims, replace brake pads and maybe rotors, fix the wobbly steering column, replace clutch and brake fluid, replace clutch, add a new exhaust (ours is rusted out on the inside though it is an ANSA catback) and maybe add racing seats if we have money left over. The car was $350 and shipping $140. We are on a $2,500 budget and plan to make this a street legal «racecar».

SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD TO ME! Lol Chris running after the car. Awesome though that's impressive 🙂
How is the golf running now
Well it's actually not running. After we had it running like this we decided to do a full engine and transmission rebuild ourselves. My friends and I are in highschool so we can only work on the weekends but right now we are having some issues with the starter and transmission. We have blown our budget out of the water to get it running again but I can proudly say that after our rebuild we did have it running and not too badly. It soon after made a horrible grinding noise and stopped so yeah.
Oooo not good also I am in high school and a have a similer car I have a 1997 vw jetta gt 2.0 8v aba I have to say my vw hasn't any motor problems one day I might turbo my vw but not now 2 reasons why I don't have a job so I am not making any money and I don't have any time
