The Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is a future Compact SUV crossover expected to be unveiled by Mercedes-Benz in the autumn of 2013 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It will be first unveiled to the public at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2013 as a concept car.
Designed to compete with the BMW X1 and Audi Q3, it will slot below the Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class and will be front-wheel-drive-based

Mercedes-Benz have announced final details of the GLA class which is due to be available for ordering in the UK November 2013 with first deliveries expected in the first part of 2014. The car will be available in both front wheel drive and all-wheel drive with the front wheel drive model having a choice of a 1.6 litre Turbo Charged petrol (154bhp) or a 1.8 litre Turbo Diesel (134bhp) and the All-wheel drive available with a 2.1 litre Turbo Diesel (168bhp) and a 2.0 litre Turbo Charged petrol unit. No AMG version has been announced as yet but is expected to follow in the not so long future, and will probably use the A45 AMGS’s 335bhp turbo four unit
